What are SIPs
Using a product called SIPs (Structurally Insulated Panels), we can produce a fully insulated “box,” allowing you to enjoy a warm sanctuary 365 day a year. The panels can be used for the floor, walls and the roof. Its all in the description, Summer Houses that are offered by shed companies, are just that, houses that can be used in summer, they are not insulated at all.
SIPs panels are easy to manoeuvre, two people can easily lift them into position, this coupled with the speed of build, a Garden Studio can easily be erected in a day.

We can create you a fully customised Garden Studio kit to your specific design and needs, optimising the panels’ original sizes as much as possible to avoid additional cuts, waste and cost.
Creating your own
Our other option is to supply straight, uncut panels and splines to be cut and rebated by yourselves on site, giving you the freedom to create something to your specific shape

More About SIPS
SIPs panels are a very basic concept, they consist of two pieces of OSB3 board, with a rigid insulation in between, like a sandwich (they are sometimes called sandwich panels). In the manufacturing process, the sandwich is glued using a specialist adhesive, then put under immense pressure in a press. Once cured, the panels act like an RSJ beam which is very strong.

FAQS
Yes we recommend a breathable membrane for the external wall, a damp proof membrane for the floor, which we will supply as part of the kit and a vapour membrane for the internal walls, which we do not supply.
You can create a hole in the SIPs wall to run electric wires through, covering them in plumbers’ pipe to protect the insulation, then after the vapour membrane and battens are attached to the internal wall, run the wires along before applying the plasterboard.
No, we supply a sub-frame to sit on top of the flat head screws, and our SIPs floor then sits inside the frame.
No, we supply battens that are attached to the underside of the SIPs floor to raise the studio of the concrete slab and allow for airflow.
They are shower resistant, however they will need to be covered over with a waterproof sheeting if not being used straight away.
